Monday of the Fifth Week in Ordinary Time

1 Corinthians 13:4-5: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Prayer ...
Heavenly Father, teach us to notice others and value them just as you do. We know you loved us when we were not lovable, and redeemed us when we were not worthy. Help us to take our eyes off ourselves and see others as you see them. In the name of Infant Jesus we pray. Amen.

53And when they had crossed over, they came to land at Gennes'aret, and moored to the shore. 54And when they got out of the boat, immediately the people recognized him, 55and ran about the whole neighborhood and began to bring sick people on their pallets to any place where they heard he was. 56And wherever he came, in villages, cities, or country, they laid the sick in the market places, and besought him that they might touch even the fringe of his garment; and as many as touched it were made well.
Meditation on Today's Scripture:
Jesus gave his disciples the wonderful prayer which acknowledges God as our Father who provides generously for his children. The Lord's Prayer teaches us to look for first the kingdom of God and to pray that God's will be accomplished in our lives. The Lord in turn, gives us what we need to live every day for his glory. The Lord is never too far or too busy to meet us and to give his blessing. Do we pray to the Father with confidence that he will show us his will and give us what you need to follow him? Ask the Lord to increase your faith and gratitude for his merciful love and provision for our life. Loving Infant Jesus let our heart sing for joy in your presence. Give us eyes of faith to recognize your presence and fill us with your Holy Spirit that we may walk in your way of love and peace.
