Memorial of Saint John Bosco, Priest

Psalm 86:5: You are forgiving and good, O Lord, abounding in love to all who call on you.
Prayer ...
Heavenly Father, we call to you wanting you to know how important your love and forgiveness are in our life. Thank you for sending Jesus to show your love and pay the debt of our sin. Help us to live today as your child: may others see our joy and our passion for you as we seek to live for your glory. In the name of Infant Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Meditation on Today's Scripture:
Jesus remarks that nothing can stay hidden or secret. We can try to put out of sight things from others, from ourselves, and from God. How tempting to close our eyes from the consequences of our sinful ways and bad habits, even when we know what those results are. And how tempting to conceal them from others and even from God. But, nonetheless, everything is well-known to God who sees all. There is great freedom and happiness for those who live in God's light and who seek his truth. Those who listen to God and listen to his voice will receive more from him; they will not lack what they need to live as Christ's disciples, and they will shine as lights to those who desire for God's truth and wisdom. Do we know the joy and liberty of living in God's light? Loving Infant Jesus, you guided us by the light of your saving truth. Fill our heart and mind with your light and truth and free us from the blindness of sin and deception that we may see your ways clearly and understand your will for our life. May we radiate your light and truth to others in word and deed.
