Monday-Thirtieth Week in Ordinary Time

Romans 12:1: I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God -- this is your spiritual act of worship.
Prayer ...
Heavenly Father, we want to surrender our life, our body, and will to you. But we confess, there are little things, which we keep from ever placing on that altar. Things we don't want to give up. To the best of our capability, we will live for you today in a way that leaves nothing outside your Lordship and control. We present you our all that we have and we to be yours today and all the forever we have. In Infant Jesus’ name. Amen.

Meditation on Today's Gospel:
The Jewish leaders were angry that Jesus would carry out such a miraculous work on the Sabbath, the holy day of rest. They were so caught up in their ceremony observance of the Sabbath that they lost sight of God's mercy and kindness. Jesus healed on the Sabbath since God does not relax from showing his mercy and love, ever. God's word has power to change us, spiritually, bodily, and sensitively. Is there anything that keeps us bound up or that weighs you down? Let the Lord speak his word to us and give us liberty. Loving Infant Jesus, you grant liberty to those who seek you. Give us freedom to walk in your way of love and to praise and worship you always. Give us an idea about how we can bring your mercy and healing love to those in need around me.
