Friday-Twenty-fifth Week in Ordinary Time

1 Corinthians 2:14: The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Prayer ...
Heavenly Father, we thank you for sending Jesus to us. Jesus we thank you for sending the Holy Spirit to us. Holy Spirit, we thank you for never leaving us alone. As we are filled with the Holy Spirit, O Lord, so fill us more and more until we will and our life more perfectly reflects your desires and character. Use us to bless others just as your presence now blesses us. In Infant Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Meditation on Today's Gospel:
If we want to share in the triumph of the Lord Jesus, then we must also take up our cross and follow where he guides us. What is the "cross" that we must take up each day? When we will crosses with God's will, then his will must be done. To know Jesus is to know the power of his victory on the cross where he overcome sin and dominated death through his resurrection. The Holy Spirit gives each one of us the gifts and strength we need to live as sons and daughters of God. The Holy Spirit gives us faith to know the Lord Jesus individually as our Redeemer, and the power to live the gospel faithfully, and the audacity to witness to others the joy, truth, and liberty of the gospel. Who do we say that Jesus is?
