Feast of Saint Mark-Evangelist

Feast of Saint Mark, Evangelist - Infant Jesus Church

Colossians 1:27-28: God has chosen you to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ.
Heavenly Father, may the presence of Jesus within us stir us to do your work today. May your enduring grace, through the presence of your gracious Son, call us to your nature and your concerns. O Loving Infant Jesus, please make our heart like yours. Amen.

Short reflection on Today's Gospel: (Mark 16:15-20)
Jesus' last words to his apostles spots to his saving mission and to their assignment to be witnesses of his saving death and his magnificent resurrection and to proclaim the good news of deliverance to all the world. Their task is to announce the good news of salvation, not only to the people of Israel, but to all the natioons. God's love and gift of salvaltion is not just for a little, or for a nation, but it is for the entire world – for all who will believe it. The gospel is the power of God, the control to forgive sins, to heal, to deliver from evil and domination, and to restore life. Do we believe in the power of the gospel?
