Heavenly Father, thank you for your plentiful grace demonstrated and fully expressed in sending Jesus to die for us. As your child, and in thanks to your sacrificial gift, we pledge to you our life, our love, and our all. Through Infant Jesus. Amen.
  WORD OF THE DAY ...
Acts 20:24: I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given to me - the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace.

Meditation on Today's Gospel: (Matthew 16:24-28)
What is the most significant investment we can make with our life? Jesus poses some inquisitive questions to challenge everybody’s assumptions about what is most profitable and valuable. Jesus asks the question: What will a person give in replace for his or her life? Everything we have is an out-right reward from God. We owe him everything, as well as exceptionally our lives. It is possible to offer God our money, but not ourselves, or to give him lip-service, but not our hearts. A right disciple gladly gives up all that he or she has in exchange for an endless life of joy and pleasure with God. God gives without calculate. The joy he offers no grief or loss can reduce. The cross of Christ leads to triumph and freedom from sin, misery, and death. What is the cross that Jesus Christ commands us to take up everyday? When my will crosses with his will, then his will must be done. Are we prepared to lose all for Jesus Christ in order to increase all with Jesus Christ?
