Heavenly Father, please give me better eyes and more faithful hearts that I may value in every ones qualities that reflect your character. Bless me as I raise our children that I may inspire in them a sense of proper values as they choose their life partner. And dear God, please help us in my church to value and praise all for their holy character. In Infant Jesus' name. Amen.

Meditation on Today's Gospel: (Matthew 12:46-50)
Jesus gave up his life on the cross for our sake, so that we could be pardoned and reinstated to unity and friendship with God. It is through Jesus that we become the adopted children of God – his own sons and daughters. That is why Jesus told his disciples that they would have numerous new friends and family relationships in his realm. Whoever performs the will of God is a friend of God and a member of his family his sons and daughters who have been released by the precious blood of Christ. What is the spirit of being a Christian? It is certainly more than doctrine, teachings and commandments. It is first and primary a relationship – a relationship of trust, affection, commitment, loyalty, faithfulness, compassion, thoughtfulness, mercy, helpfulness, encouragement, support, strength, guard, and so many other qualities that bind people together in shared love and unity. Jesus is God's love personified – God's love made visible in human flesh. That is why Jesus explains himself as the good shepherd who lays down his life for his sheep and the shepherd who seeks out the sheep who have wandered away and lost their way. God is like the father who yearns for his prodigal son to return home and then throws a huge party for his son when he has a alter-of-heart and comes back. God offers us the most of relationships union of heart, mind, and spirit with himself, the very author and basis of love. God's love never fails, never forgets, never compromise, never lie, never let down us. His love is reliable, firm, unconditional, and unstoppable. That is why Jesus confronted his followers and still his own earthly relatives to recognize that God is the true foundation of all relationships. God wants all of our relationships to be entrenched in his love.

Teacher, we wish to see a sign from you...
