As you did it not to one of the least of these, you did it not to me

2 Peter 1:5-8: Make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
  Let us Pray ...
Heavenly Father, we are going to put out the effort to grow in your grace. Please bless our efforts and receive them as our heartfelt appreciation for your loving us when we were unlovable and redeeming us when we were lost. We want to be productive to your glory in our life with Infant Jesus, in whose name we pray. Amen.

Meditation on Today's Gospel: (Matthew 25:31-46)
The Bible presents us with the alternatives between two kingdoms i.e. the kingdom of evil and the kingdom of Good. The preference is ours. Which realm do you serve? God's kingdom lasts everlastingly because it is built on the foundation of God's love and impartiality. To accept Jesus as Lord and King is to go into a kingdom that will last forever where righteousness, love, truth, and calm dwell. Is your life presented to the Lordship of Jesus? What is here Jesus narrated story for us? The kind of life we decide to live now and the moral choices we make will have consequences that decide our future for enhanced or for worse. Division is an inevitable consequence of verdict. The Day of Judgment will make known who had true faith in God and who lived according to God's command to love him first above all else and to love one's fellow citizen as oneself, with true sympathy and mercy. Jesus calls each one of us to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. We are not called to run away the society around us nor to contempt those who treat us unfavorably or unjustly. We are to be leaven in a society that needs God's healing love and pardon. When we let our light shine we permit others to see God's love, truth, and compassion in the way we speak and treat them. God has shown us his hard to believe and mercy and loving-kindness through his Son, Jesus Christ, who came to save us from the oppression of sin and evil, and a world blinded by egotism and deception. We are ambassadors for Christ and our job is to bring his light, truth, and merciful love to those who stagger in darkness, ignorance, and unbelief.
