The blind man looked intently and was restored, and saw everything clear

1 John 3:11: This is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another.
  Let us Pray ...
Heavenly Father, we commit to you that we will intentionally show our love for your children in what we do and say. We do this trusting your grace to empower us to do more than we would do on our own. Through Infant Jesus my Savior we pray. Amen.

Meditation on Today's Gospel: (Mark 8:22-26)
Jesus demonstrates considerateness in bringing this man to a place gone from the skeptics and gawkers. His view is restored in stages as he reacts to Jesus' healing touch. Mark records this extraordinary miracle in three short phrases: He looked closely and was restored, and saw all clearly. Jesus sent him home with a warning to avoid the company of those who live in religious darkness. What's worse than physical blindness? Sightless of heart and soul for sure! A blind man is led to Jesus by a number of of his friends. Without their help he could not have bring into being the one who could restore his sight. Jesus understood the fears and hopes of this sightless man who begged him to touch him. The blind in a special way distinguish the power of touch. Are there any blind spots in your life that blur your vision of God and his kingdom? Permit the Lord Jesus to touch you with his grace and power that you may walk in the light of his saving truth and love.
