God first loved us

1 John 4:19: We love because [God] first loved us.
  Let us Pray...
Heavenly Father, thank you for comforting us with your love. Just as a child learns from parents how to do so many things, we want to learn to love as you do, sacrificially, selflessly, and submissively so that others may know that they do not have to earn your love, only receive it. In Infant Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Father sent His only Son, he willed his coming into this world. And whosoever shall acknowledge that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwell in him, and he in God. It's all very simple. God is love. He is love's origin, origin of everything, and example, and architect. We love because he loved us first. We know how to love because he has substantiated it. We can love because he made us in his likeness and to share his character. He is the fountain, the motivation, and the surmount of love. We love because he does, first, last, and always. We always differentiate between the fear of God and being afraid of him, the fear of God imports high regard and veneration for God. Obedience and good works, done from the principle of love, are not like the aggressive toil of one who unwillingly labors from dread of a master's anger. True love to God assures believers of God's love to one who believe. Love teaches us to suffer for God and with him; therefore we may trust that we shall also be glorified with him.
