God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship him in spirit and in truth

John 4:24: God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.

Thoughts on Today's Verse...
God is a Spirit - Not only remote from the body, and all the properties of body, but likewise full of all spiritual perfections, wisdom, power, love, holiness. And my worship should be suitable to his nature. Everyone should worship Him with the truly spiritual worship of faith, love, and holiness, animating all our worldly tempers, thoughts, words, and actions. Genuine worship is a godly gift. Since God is spirit, since He is holy, we cannot fully approach him without the gift and blessing of his Holy Spirit. As Christians who received the Spirit at the time of baptism and into Christ and born of God, everyone can now speak to Him and worship Him Spirit to Spirit.

Let us Pray...
Heavenly Father, we thank you we praise you, by the gift of your Spirit we come to you as your child. Thank you so much for giving us your Spirit so that we can approach you with confidence and know you hear the concerns of our heart. Please accept the love of our heart, of our words, and of our actions. May the things we do each day bring you glory. In Infant Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Wherever we go we have the company of people whose lives showed the truth of God's Word. Christians who died in the faith became part of that illustrious company.
